terrible cup of coffee.
In 2016, our founder Maren pulled the worst espresso of her life from a corner café near Bristol Temple Meads — and decided she could do better. She bought a tiny sample roaster, a sack of Ethiopian greens, and started roasting on her kitchen counter.
Eight years on, Dawn & Co. roasts out of a converted railway arch in the heart of the city. We're still small, still stubborn about quality, and still roasting every bag the morning it leaves us. Some things shouldn't scale.
